About Us

Nourishing Women Corp. was founded by Leonor Murciano-Chen, Oriental Medicine Doctor, Acupuncture Physician, specializing in women’s health in South Florida. She is board licensed and a diplomate of the National Commission for Certification of Acupuncture. She holds certifications in Chinese Herbal Pharmacopia, Aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Nutrition. She also completed studies in Spiritual Healing & Counseling at the University of Spiritual Healing and Sufism in California. Dr. Murciano-Chen combines Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology, Nutrition, and other wholistic  therapies to complement western medicine in the treatment of Women’s Health, Gynecology and Infertility. She focuses not only on physical imbalances, but also on balancing deeper psycho-emotional and spiritual aspects that contribute to physical disorders and disease. Her approach is wholistic in nature and addresses all aspects of being: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Dr. L. Murciano-Chen OMD, AP, CHt., has been in the health and healing industry since 1989 as a practioner, lecturer, teacher, and facilitator.  She has a masters from the Community School for Traditional Chinese Healthcare, Hollywood, Florida and has also attended the University of Spiritual Healing and Sufism ( former the Jaffe Institute) for her studies in Spiritual Healing and Counseling.  She currently has a private practice in South Miami and Pembroke Pines, Florida.  Leonor has gathered extensive experience in the last ten years specializing in Women’s Health Care and Infertility combining Wholistic Medicine, Chinese Medicine with Spiritual Healing and Counseling.  She has also worked extensively in the last nine years with western Reproductive Endocrinologist and Fertility Medical Experts implementing cooperative treatments for patients undergoing IVF and IUI protocols.  Dr. Murciano was the first physician in the United States to implement the now popular, Acupuncture treatment protocol on the day of Embryo Transfer, for IVF patients here in South Florida in 2002.  Thus, has treated thousands of patients undergoing In Vitro Fertilization and other Fertility Protocols combining Acupuncture and adjunct therapies to enhance and increase conception rates.  

Dr. Murciano-Chen offers an extensive ability to bridge the gaps between western and eastern medicine and bring deep awareness to patients about the deeper aspects of disease and disorders.  Her passion is to help people understand that disease and disorders can heal, ending pain and suffering if we are willing to look deep enough.

Nourishing Women’s staff consists of various professionals well versed in Traditional Healing practices as well as the intricacies of Western Medicine and Reproductive Therapy Protocols.  We also have available Acupuncture Physicians 24/7 for Acupuncture during IVF treatment.
